Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 13, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how ATLASTAX LLC, doing business as Atlas Tax Group ("Atlas", "we", "us" or "our"), collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit atlastaxexpert.com (the "Site"), contact us, or use our services. Our services are offered to individuals and businesses in the United States. By using the Site, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy.
1. Information we collect
Information you enter in our forms. Our consultation form asks for your first and last name, email address, phone number, the services you are interested in, and an optional message.
Form information saved as you type. To help us respond to your request, the details you enter in our consultation form are saved as you type them, even if you do not finish or submit the form. This notice appears next to the form. If you do not want us to receive this information, do not enter it. You can ask us to delete it at any time (see Section 9).
Information you send us directly. When you call, text or email us, we receive your phone number or email address and the content of your message.
Client information. If you become a client, we collect what we need to deliver our services. This may include exchange and wallet transaction records, public wallet addresses, prior tax returns, tax forms (such as Form 1099-DA or 1099-B), Social Security or taxpayer identification numbers, identity documents, and payment details.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring URL, the date and time of your visit, and advertising identifiers such as the Google click identifier ("gclid") and campaign (UTM) parameters in the link you used to reach us.
2. How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry, arrange a consultation and provide a quote.
- To provide, manage and bill for our services.
- To contact you by phone, text message or email about your request or engagement.
- To measure how well our advertising works, including whether an ad click led to an enquiry.
- To keep the Site and our systems secure and to prevent fraud and spam.
- To comply with legal, regulatory and professional obligations.
3. Phone calls and text messages
When you enter your contact details in our consultation form and click “Continue”, you agree that we may contact you about your request by phone call, text message and email at the details you provide, which may use automated technology. Your consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, and reply HELP for help. You can also ask us to stop calling you at any time.
We do not sell, rent or share your mobile phone number or text messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party, except service providers that help us deliver messages to you.
4. Tax return information
Federal law (Internal Revenue Code section 7216) limits how tax return preparers may use and disclose tax return information. If we prepare tax returns or related documents for you, we will only use or disclose your tax return information to provide our services, as permitted by law, or with your written consent in the form the law requires. We also maintain safeguards for client financial information designed to meet the requirements of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and the FTC Safeguards Rule as they apply to us.
5. Cookies and advertising
We advertise using Google Ads and may use Google's measurement tools to understand how visitors find the Site and whether they submit an enquiry. These tools may use cookies, pixels or similar technologies, and the data they collect is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can learn how Google uses this data at How Google uses information from sites that use its services, manage ad personalization at My Ad Center, and block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Our Site does not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.
6. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- With service providers that help us run our business, such as website hosting (Netlify), our secure database (Supabase), advertising measurement (Google), and communication, scheduling, document storage, payment and accounting tools. They may use your information only to perform services for us.
- With tax authorities or other parties when you instruct us to, for example when filing on your behalf.
- When required by law, such as to respond to a subpoena or court order, or to protect our rights, property or safety and that of others.
- In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition or sale of all or part of our business, subject to this policy.
7. Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) on the Site, restricted access to our lead database, and limiting access to client files to the people working on them. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Data retention
We keep enquiry information, including unfinished form entries, for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and generally no longer than 24 months if you do not become a client. We keep client records for as long as required by applicable tax, accounting and professional record-keeping rules. We then securely delete or de-identify the information.
9. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you can opt out of marketing calls, texts and emails at any time. Depending on the state where you live (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas or Oregon), you may have additional rights under state privacy laws, such as the right to know what personal information we collect, to obtain a copy of it, to correct or delete it, to opt out of its sale or use for targeted advertising, and to appeal our decision on your request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
To make a request, email support@atlastaxexpert.com or call (919) 555-8247. We may need to verify your identity before we respond. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf where state law allows. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision. California residents may also request information about any disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes; we do not make such disclosures.
10. Children's privacy
The Site and our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we encourage you to read their policies.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date above shows when it was last revised. If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on this page.
